Promoting Inclusion, Transforing Lives Conference
14-16 June 2017, Dundee
Thank you for submitting an abstract for PITL 2017 in June.
We’ve had a few reports that some of our emails may not have been received – so I’m sending this to everyone through our normal email system rather than the automated email system on the conference website.
We are delighted to inform you that your abstract has been accepted. We were really impressed by the high quality of submissions from around the world… including Australia, England, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Nigeria, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the USA.
We are very excited about the event and look forward to welcoming you in June.
Registration is open and we are already taking bookings from across Europe and beyond! Please be aware that your acceptance to the conference is only confirmed when the registration fee has been paid. To register, go to http://www.pitl.org.uk/register
We will be sending out the full programme by the end of next week.
Each abstract was independently reviewed. If the reviewers made comments, you will be able to read these on the confernece website at http://www.pitl.org.uk. We would encourage you to take account of what the reviewers have said. The comments will be constructively critical to help you strengthen your abstract prior to your presentation at the conference.
Paper/Workshop Presentations at the Conference
Each of the parallel sessions will be 60 minutes.
- Papers should be 15 minute presentations. They will be grouped in 3s – with all presenters sharing a final 15 minutes to discuss the implications for practice, questions, and audience participation.
- Workshops will be an hour and will be a more interactive approach to supporting the conference themes.
- Transformative Practice Sessions will run for an hour and will provide an opportunity to share practice and ideas that will support change and innovation. These sessions are aimed at promoting collaboration and participation and should not simply repackage existing ideas or concepts.
- If you are submitting a poster, it needs to be no bigger than A1 (594 x 841 mm). There will be a session each day for delegates to view and speak with poster presenters. Note that we have no facilities to print your poster – it needs to be sent in advance or brought to the venue.
